Job Description
Our client is involved in international trading of a MNC brand. They’re looking for a hands-on Finance Manager to oversee the day-to-day finance function and ensure accurate regional financial reporting. The role will work closely with an overseas accounting team while maintaining strong oversight of local finance activities. This position would suit someone who enjoys working in a small team within a quieter, focused working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly financial reports, including P&L and balance sheet
- Manage cashflow forecasting and monitor liquidity requirements
- Review balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and maintain strong financial controls
- Review and approve supplier payments
- Liaise regularly with the overseas accounting team to coordinate finance activities and reporting
- Ensure accurate financial records and compliance with company policies
- Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with UAE regulations
- Support management with financial insights and reporting as required
Candidate Profile
- Chartered Accountant / CIMA / CA / ACCA / CPA with 5-10 yrs PQE
- Preference for someone who started their career in Audit, in a top 10 firm
- Proven experience at Finance Manager level
- Strong knowledge of P&L, balance sheet reporting, and cashflow forecasting
- Experience reviewing reconciliations and payments
- Solid understanding of UAE VAT compliance and returns
- Comfortable coordinating with overseas accounting teams
- Hands-on, organised, and detail-oriented
- Professional accounting qualification preferred (ACA / ACCA / CPA or equivalent)
- Someone who enjoys working in a smaller team in a quieter environment. Please note that due to the office being so small, there is no career progression beyond this role.
