Job Description

We are supporting a large, complex organisation in the UAE with the appointment of a Finance Director (UAE National) for one of the major subsidiary companies. This is a senior leadership role reporting directly to the Managing Director, with responsibility for the full finance function from A-Z across a sizeable operation.

You will provide strategic financial leadership while overseeing Finance, Audit, Cash Management and Procurement. The role combines high-level strategic input with strong operational control in a regulated, KPI-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead financial strategy, planning and performance management
• Act as a trusted advisor to the MD and Board on financial matters
• Oversee financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting and financial modelling
• Drive cash flow management and banking facilities
• Ensure strong financial governance, controls and compliance (IFRS, tax, audit)
• Lead external audits and manage relationships with auditors and key stakeholders
• Partner with senior leadership on commercial, contractual and outsourced activities
• Oversee procurement from a commercial and governance perspective
• Lead and develop large teams

Requirements:

• UAE National (mandatory)
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
• CPA / CMA or equivalent professional qualification preferred
• Minimum 15 years’ experience in finance and accounting within large, international organisations
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial governance, forecasting and cost control
• Experience managing large teams and multiple support functions
• Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills

Desirable:

• Experience within a complex operation
• Track record in financial turnaround or contract recovery
