Job Description

Our client is looking to hire a highly technical Data Modelling Lead for their newly created data division. You'll oversee data acquisition, ensure quality control, and streamline distribution to fuel data-driven decision making across the organization.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead data strategy development, including data models for structured data.
  • Collaborate with business and IT to define, refine, and implement data flows and models aligned with the enterprise architecture.
  • Establish and enforce data modelling standards for consistency and compliance.
  • Develop and own data models, collaborating with data engineers for implementation.
  • Manage data governance tools and processes.
  • Oversee data architecture and infrastructure, driving operational effectiveness and deeper insights.
  • Proactively manage projects to enhance efficiency and reduce delivery risks.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Master's degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Engineering, Math/Statistics).
  • 15+ years of experience in Data Quality, Modelling, and Strategy (7+ years in a leadership role).
  • 7+ years of experience in banking or financial services.
  • Proven track record leading large data transformation programs in multi-national banks.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Deep knowledge of data quality standards and best practices.
  • Expertise in data lineage, modelling, architecture, and analytics.
  • Expert knowledge in Datawarehouse architecture and development
  • Proficient in data modelling tools (e.g., SAP PowerDesigner, ERWin)
  • Fluency in English is essential (first language) for this role
