Job Description
Our client is looking for a Compliance Officer with Precious Metals or Commodities experience.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of compliance regulations, local laws, and GRC frameworks within the precious metals or commodities industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive compliance policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular compliance reviews and audits to identify and mitigate risks.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Provide guidance and support to staff on compliance matters.
- Conduct investigations into compliance breaches and take appropriate corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to compliance activities.
- Customer due diligence and monitoring including end to end onboarding of new clients
- Involvement in new product launch and associated compliance activities
- Ad hoc project management of compliance and governance projects
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of compliance experience within the precious metals or commodities industry, preferably in the Middle East.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, including the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) and other relevant authorities.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with fluency in English
- Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team
- Excellent attention to detail
