Job Description
Credit Administrator - Syndications
Our client is a regional financial institution who are looking to hire and experienced Credit Administrator to join their Syndications team.
Responsibilities will include:
- Syndications Agreement Review and Analysis: Thoroughly reviewing and analysing syndications agreements to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal policies.
- Documentation Preparation and Review: Preparing and reviewing necessary documentation, including credit approval memos, facility agreements, and other relevant paperwork.
- Deal Execution and Monitoring: Monitoring the deal execution process, ensuring timely completion of tasks and adherence to deadlines.
- Participant Management: Maintaining strong relationships with syndicate participants, providing timely updates and addressing queries effectively.
- Post-Closing Activities: Handling post-closing activities, including loan booking, interest calculations, and fee payments.
- Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating potential risks associated with syndication transactions.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring compliance with local and international regulations, including KYC/AML and data privacy requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform, administer, check, and coordinate all operational aspects and fulfill all prerequisites for the enforceability of the Syndication Facilities from the origination phase with accurate detailing before lodging the same into the Bank’s system.
- Maintain proper controls and ensure compliance with the Bank’s Credit Policies and Procedures.
- Carry out efficient and prompt processing of all activities related to limits & collateral management including origination, maintenance, and settlements, reconciliation procedures with availability of adequate controls to avoid any operational risks.
- Review Syndication Documentation in accordance with approved terms, policies and delegation authorities.
- Liaise with the external legal counsel to comply with the approved terms and conditions.
- Coordinate with the Participant Banks.
- Ensure the enforceability and authenticity of the Syndication Agreements along with any related security or support documents executed by the customers.
- Ensure all agreements/securities/support documents lodged have been properly executed and signatures are verified, and authenticities of the signatories are supported by constitutional documents.
- Ensure rectification of existing discrepancies/deficiencies in security documentation for facilities released under legacy records.
- Ensure approval from relevant authorities is held for deferral / waiver of incomplete documents.
- Ensure Original Credit/Collateral/Security Documentation scanned to Credit Administration Shared Folder.
- Ensure Safe custody (dual control) of original credit and security documentation, maintain/update lodge register and perform annual review of original documentation inventory.
- Ensure integrating accurate and timely internal reporting and regulatory reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Syndications, Trade Finance, or Loan Operations.
- Strong understanding of syndications agreements and related documentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in relevant banking systems and software.
- UAE experience is essential.
