Job Description


Our multinational client is seeking a qualified Commercial Finance Business Partner to provide financial insight, control, and support across multiple international operations. The role partners closely with commercial, operational, and finance teams to drive business performance, accuracy, and compliance.

Our client operates on long-term projects.  Anyone within the construction, consultancy, professional services environment would be a close fit.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide Bid teams with accurate financial information and quality assurance of bids prior to submission
  • Check for most cost effective means of operating the business whilst not losing quality
  • Scrutinise procurement processes to ensure the best price has been found to drive down costs
  • Manage the full billing cycle and oversee Accounts Receivable with invoicing, reporting, and get involved with difficult collections
  • Working closely with Ops to oversee submission of contractor payroll information to the Finance Support team
  • Prepare the monthly P&L, analyze trends, and explain variances
  • Lead forecasting and budgeting processes
  • Maintain and report balance sheet items including reconciliations (Fixed Assets, Prepaid, Deposits, Accruals)
  • Monitor and report on cash flow forecasting
  • Oversee petty cash, cash ledger consolidation, and expense reporting
  • Ensure tax compliance and adherence to local regulations
  • Support project accounting, cost control, and identify cost reduction opportunities

 

Requirements:

 

  • Minimum 5–8 years’ experience in a similar finance role within a multi-country environment
  • Fully qualified ACA, ACCA, CMA, or CIMA (or equivalent)
  • Willingness to ‘roll up your sleeves’ to get the job done
  • A self-starter
  • Ability to work autonomously. Experience in a mid-sized SME where you’ve had freedom to make decisions is important.
  • Strong commercial and analytical acumen with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong in Excel, a solid ‘data cruncher’
  • Willingness to travel to remote countries as required
