Job Description
Our client is an independent accounting firm providing audit, accounts preparation, tax, and advisory services to a diverse range of small businesses. They are looking for an Audit & Accounts Preparation Supervisor to join their team and play a key role in delivering high-quality services.
Role Overview:
This is a hands-on role overseeing audit assignments, accounts preparation, and tax compliance. The successful candidate will supervise junior staff, ensure compliance with accounting and tax regulations, and maintain strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage audit assignments for SMEs and owner-managed businesses.
- Prepare and review statutory financial statements under IFRS
- Oversee VAT and corporate tax compliance, ensuring accurate filings.
- Supervise and review the work of junior team members, providing guidance and technical support.
- Liaise with clients, addressing queries and providing proactive advice.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting, audit, and tax regulations.
- Identify areas for process improvement and contribute to business development.
Requirements:
- ACA/ACCA qualified with at least 3-5 years’ experience in an accounting practice.
- Strong audit, financial reporting, VAT, and corporate tax knowledge.
- Experience supervising and reviewing the work of junior staff.
- Excellent client management and communication skills.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage).
