Job Description
We are seeking a Finance and Procurement Manager to oversee all financial aspects of this start-up tech organization, a subsidiary of a very large group, including budgeting, accounting, treasury, reporting, and procurement.
In this pivotal role, you will leverage your strong financial management skills and experience with procurement processes to ensure compliance with financial regulations and optimize resource allocation. Your expertise will be essential in driving financial performance and supporting strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage the annual budget, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Manage all accounting and financial reporting activities, guaranteeing accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs.
- Handle all general accounting, month end, invoicing and VAT
- Lead the procurement process, ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors, securing favorable terms and conditions.
- Monitor expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant financial regulations and standards.
- Provide comprehensive financial analysis and reporting to senior management to inform decision-making.
- Develop and implement robust financial policies and procedures to enhance operational effectiveness.
Requirements:
- 10-15 years of experience in finance, including a minimum of 3 years in a Finance Manager role, you bring significant expertise to the position.
- You enjoy working in a hands-on (stand alone) role
- Strong preference for a chartered accountant
- A candidate who has worked in a start-up environment would be given preference
- You have proven experience in managing budgets and financial reporting, demonstrating a strong track record of success.
- You possess a strong understanding of procurement processes and contract negotiation, enabling effective supplier management.
- Your excellent analytical and problem-solving skills allow you to navigate complex financial scenarios effectively.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) enhances your ability to manage financial operations efficiently.
