Our client is a specialist engineering business delivering complex industrial refrigeration, cold storage and mechanical infrastructure projects across the UAE and wider GCC.

The BIM Lead will take ownership of BIM coordination, model quality, Revit standards and multidisciplinary clash resolution across live engineering projects. This role is suited to a technically strong BIM professional with mechanical services experience who can improve standards, support designers and ensure accurate coordinated deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Lead BIM delivery across mechanical refrigeration, plant room, cold room and associated MEP project models.
• Develop, maintain and enforce BIM standards, templates, families, naming conventions, modelling procedures and quality checks.
• Prepare and coordinate Revit MEP models, layouts, sections, schedules and construction documentation in line with project requirements.
• Run clash detection using Navisworks and coordinate resolution with engineering, design, project and site teams.
• Support the production of coordinated IFC drawings, shop drawings, as-built models, schedules and technical documentation.
• Review model accuracy, drawing quality, spatial coordination and buildability before issue to clients, consultants or project teams.
• Work closely with mechanical design engineers to ensure refrigeration systems, piping, equipment and plant room layouts are correctly represented.
• Coordinate BIM inputs from internal teams, external consultants, contractors and suppliers where required.
• Train and mentor designers, draftsmen and engineers on Revit/BIM workflows and best practice.
• Support continuous improvement of BIM processes to improve speed, consistency, coordination and engineering quality.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, BIM, Building Services, Drafting or a related technical discipline.
• 7+ years’ BIM/Revit MEP experience, ideally within mechanical services, industrial refrigeration, HVAC, MEP contracting or industrial facilities.
• Advanced Revit MEP capability with strong knowledge of model setup, families, templates, worksets, schedules and drawing production.
• Strong Navisworks experience including model federation, clash detection, clash reports and coordination workflows.
• Good understanding of mechanical systems, plant rooms, piping, equipment layouts, access zones and installation coordination.
• Experience producing coordinated shop drawings, IFC drawings, as-built models and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of BIM execution plans, ISO 19650 principles, document control and common data environments is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate with engineers, designers, project managers, consultants and site teams.
• UAE or GCC project experience is preferred.

The ideal candidate will combine strong Revit/BIM technical ability with practical mechanical coordination experience. They should be capable of setting standards, improving output quality and supporting engineers to produce coordinated, buildable design deliverables.
