Job Description

Our client is a listed multinational plc. They are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Analyst to join their finance team. This role is critical to ensure the efficient management of the company's receivables, minimizing credit risk, and providing insightful financial analysis.

 

The Accounts Receivable Analyst will be responsible for a wide spectrum of accounts receivable activities, including enabling the Credit Control Manager to make decisions on customer credit, and advising on which outstanding payments to pursue first.

 

A strong understanding of credit control principles and best practices is essential for success in this role.

 

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional analytical abilities and be a true Excel expert, capable of manipulating complex datasets from across a large region with multiple business units and generating meaningful reports to support decision-making.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist with formulation of customer credit limits and terms, based on data
  • Work closely with credit controllers and AR team to enable them to focus on which customers to target for collections
  • Prepare and analyze accounts receivable aging reports, identifying and escalating overdue accounts.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders across the region
  • Utilize advanced Excel skills to create sophisticated financial models, perform data analysis, and generate insightful reports on accounts receivable performance, trends, and potential risks.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within the accounts receivable function.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts receivable.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

 

  • Expert in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, data manipulation, and reporting capabilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 5 yrs + in an Accounts Receivable role with a strong focus on credit control
  • Demonstrable expertise in credit control principles, practices, and relevant regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and internal teams.  
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.  
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
