Our client, a prominent cultural and creative organization known for hosting some of the Middle East's most esteemed art and cultural events, is on the lookout for an experienced Operations Manager to join their vibrant team. This pivotal role encompasses a range of responsibilities similar to that of a Chief Operating Officer (COO) and is essential for the smooth functioning of the organization.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Leadership & Oversight: Guide and direct various operational areas, ensuring daily operations run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Human Resources Management: Supervise HR activities, including recruitment, staff training, and performance evaluation, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission and values.
  • Financial Management: Collaborate with the finance team to oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to the board.
  • Reporting to the Board: Provide regular updates on operational performance and key metrics to the Board of Directors to aid in strategic decisions.
  • Facilities Oversight: Manage office and storage facilities, ensuring they meet organizational needs and comply with safety standards.
  • IT Management: Ensure IT systems and infrastructure are secure, reliable, and up-to-date to support operational demands.
  • Legal Compliance: Work with legal counsel to ensure all operations adhere to local laws and industry regulations.
  • Process Enhancement: Continuously assess and refine operational processes to implement best practices across departments.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

 

  • Demonstrated experience in a senior operations role, preferably in a creative or event-focused environment.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing diverse teams.
  • Proficient in financial management and reporting, with a solid grasp of budgeting and forecasting.
  • Familiarity with HR policies and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to present information clearly to the board.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, emphasizing process optimization.
