We are representing a leading online retailer specialising in premium skincare and beauty products for men and women in the Middle East. Our client’s curated selection features over 100 brands typically found in clinics and luxury spas, making it easy for customers to identify, compare, and select products tailored to their needs. This online store is supervised by dermatologists and industry professionals, offering health and beauty content in both English and Arabic.

 

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Ecommerce to lead this business into its next chapter of growth. This strategic leader will oversee all aspects of the online business, from marketing and product assortment to operations and customer experience. You will work closely with the team team to drive sales, enhance customer satisfaction, and solidify our client’s position as the premier online destination for skincare and beauty in the Middle East.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive ecommerce strategy aligned with the company’s vision and goals.
  • Market Positioning: Refine and enhance the brand’s value proposition within the competitive landscape of the Middle East.
  • Product Management: Oversee product assortment, pricing strategies, and inventory management to ensure alignment with customer needs and market trends.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish corporate and functional KPIs across Sales, Marketing, and Operations, implementing reporting tools to drive accountability and performance improvement.
  • Partnership Development: Negotiate and secure agreements with leading beauty brands to expand product offerings and enhance customer choice.
  • Supply Chain Optimisation: Design and manage a robust supply and delivery process across the region, balancing cost, agility, and delivery speed.
  • Technology Integration: Oversee the implementation and optimization of an ERP system to manage the full cycle of orders, fulfilment, accounting, and inventory management.
  • Marketing Strategy: Collaborate with the marketing team to select and implement marketing solutions, optimize budget allocations, and drive customer acquisition and retention.
  • Financial Management: Manage budgeting and financial planning processes, ensuring profitability and cash flow positivity while supporting sustainable growth.
  • Team Development: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team across Customer Service, Digital Marketing, Logistics, and Accounting, fostering a culture of agility and continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with the leadership team to align ecommerce strategies with overall business objectives and facilitate integration into the broader distribution network.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Proven experience (7+ years) in ecommerce management, preferably in the beauty or consumer goods industry.
  • Strong understanding of online retail dynamics and best practices in digital marketing, customer experience, and supply chain management.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing ecommerce strategies that drive significant revenue growth.
  • Experience in negotiating partnerships with brand manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Proficient in data analysis and the use of analytics tools to drive decision-making.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
