Our client is seeking a seasoned Head of Corporate Governance to join their dynamic team. You'll play a pivotal role in leading and developing the corporate governance strategy, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a robust corporate governance framework aligned with regulatory guidelines.
• Lead the review and update of board and committee charters, policies, and procedures.
• Partner with senior management to foster a culture of ethical conduct and risk awareness.
• Oversee board and committee meetings, ensuring effective communication and decision-making.
• Stay abreast of evolving regulations and industry best practices.
• Make recommendations for technology solutions to implement automation of governance processes
• Ensure that relationships are maintained with regulators and liaise with external parties such as auditors, advisors, lawyers and shareholders.
• Provide comprehensive governance support, including recordkeeping and document management. Act as the custodian for critical documents like governance charters, policies, procedures, delegations of authority, and signatory lists

Qualifications:

• Minimum 10 years' experience in corporate governance, or compliance, within the banking sector.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing effective corporate governance frameworks.
• In-depth understanding of relevant local banking regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
