Our client is a prominent UAE-based organisation operating within a strategic government-linked environment, with regular coordination across defence, government and military stakeholders.
The Public Relations Officer will be responsible for the secure collection, delivery and receipt of official contracts, correspondence and military mail between the organisation and Ministry of Defence units. The role requires a reliable and discreet individual with previous military, Ministry of Defence or defence-sector experience, strong knowledge of Abu Dhabi and MOD locations, and the ability to handle sensitive documents in accordance with strict confidentiality and security procedures.
Responsibilities
- Collect, deliver and receive official contracts, correspondence, military mail and other sensitive documents between the organisation and Ministry of Defence units.
- Ensure all official documents are delivered to the correct departments, sections and authorised representatives in a timely and confidential manner.
- Maintain accurate records, delivery logs, acknowledgements and handover confirmations for all documents collected or delivered.
- Coordinate with internal representatives and Ministry of Defence contacts regarding document handovers, follow-ups and delivery requirements.
- Handle confidential and sensitive correspondence in line with applicable procedures, security protocols and access requirements.
- Support the Planning and Procurement Directorate with document movement linked to contracts, procurement files, approvals and official correspondence.
- Ensure proper chain of custody is maintained for official documents and correspondence.
- Follow up on pending document receipts, signatures, acknowledgements or responses as required.
- Liaise with relevant government, military and defence-sector representatives through approved channels.
- Support routine PRO, document-delivery, government liaison and administrative coordination activities as required.
- Maintain professional conduct and discretion when dealing with military, government and internal stakeholders.
- Comply with all internal policies, security procedures, confidentiality requirements and site access protocols.
- Report any delays, access issues, missing acknowledgements or document-handling concerns to the relevant manager.
- Undertake other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous military career is essential, Ministry of Defence or defence-sector experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience working with military facilities, government entities or secure environments would be advantageous.
- Good knowledge of Abu Dhabi, Ministry of Defence locations and relevant military or government sites.
- Valid UAE driving licence is required.
- Ability to obtain the required security clearances, access approvals and site permissions.
- Previous experience in a PRO, government liaison, document control, military administration, logistics, security coordination or messenger role would be beneficial.
- Strong understanding of confidentiality, official correspondence handling and secure document movement.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Reliable, punctual and able to manage time-sensitive document deliveries.
- High level of integrity, discretion and professionalism.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and follow defined procedures.
- Arabic language skills are required; English language skills would be advantageous.
- Familiarity with military protocols, access procedures and official handover processes would be highly beneficial.

Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will be a disciplined, trustworthy and well-presented individual with previous military, Ministry of Defence or defence-sector exposure. They should understand the importance of confidentiality, punctuality and proper document handling when dealing with official contracts, military mail and sensitive correspondence. The role would suit a former military professional or defence-sector PRO who is familiar with Abu Dhabi military locations, government protocols and secure access procedures, and who can represent the organisation professionally when liaising with MOD units and internal stakeholders.
