Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on HR Director from the hospitality industry, to lead the full HR function for a growing hospitality group. Working directly under the CEO, this role is critical in driving hiring, onboarding, employee relations, and retention, while also playing a key leadership role in the pre-opening of new venues internationally.

This is not only a strategic position - the successful candidate must be operational, visible, and comfortable working closely with management and frontline teams.

 

Responsibilities

 

HR Leadership & Operations

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end HR function across multiple hospitality sites
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on all people matters
  • Ensure HR policies, procedures, and compliance standards are maintained

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Own and drive high-volume hiring strategies across operations from housekeeping and valet, up to exec level roles
  • Strengthen onboarding frameworks to improve early employee engagement and retention
  • Build talent pipelines for ongoing and future openings

Employee Relations

  • Lead complex ER matters, investigations, and conflict resolution
  • Foster a positive workplace culture aligned with business goals
  • Support managers in performance management and disciplinary processes

Retention & Engagement

  • Develop initiatives to reduce turnover and improve staff retention
  • Monitor workforce trends and implement proactive solutions

Pre-Opening HR Support (Essential)

  • Lead HR planning and execution for new venue launches internationally
  • Manage workforce planning, hiring ramp-ups, onboarding, and HR setup for new sites
  • Ensure HR systems, policies, and compliance are operational ahead of opening

 

Requirements

  • 15–20 years of HR experience, with the majority in hospitality
  • Proven HR leadership experience within multi-site hospitality environments
  • Able to redo policies and procedures
  • Proactive, growth mindset, bringing fresh ideas to the CEO
  • Mandatory: Strong track record supporting pre-opening of new hospitality venues
  • Hands-on, operational mindset - not purely strategic
  • Deep expertise in overseeing employee relations and recruitment
  • Experience managing HR across international markets is highly preferred
  • Practical, proactive, and solutions-driven
  • Strong leadership presence with excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments
