Job Description
Our client is an established UAE-based trading business specialising in the office and consumer electronics segments. The business offers a diversified product portfolio across office equipment and consumer lines, supplying regional markets across the Middle East and beyond.
They are now seeking an experienced Export Business Development professional to accelerate growth in their export channels.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the export sales plan for the two product lines (office automation and consumer electronics) in assigned international markets.
- Identify, engage, and build relationships with overseas distributors, dealers and channel partners.
- Negotiate terms, pricing, contracts and agreements with export customers/partners, ensuring alignment with company margins and objectives.
- Forecast and achieve export sales targets, monitor KPIs for volume, revenue, margin and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with internal teams (product management, marketing, logistics, operations) to ensure seamless order fulfilment, export documentation and after-sales support.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis in target export territories to identify opportunities, threats, market trends and adjust strategy accordingly.
- Attend trade shows, exhibitions and export industry events to represent the business and build brand awareness in export markets.
- Manage export pricing, credit risk, shipping/logistics coordination and compliance with export regulations.
- Provide regular reporting to senior management on export pipeline, performance versus plan, and strategic recommendations.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in export sales (B2B) within office automation, office equipment or consumer electronics segments.
- Proven track record of generating export revenue and building international channel partners/distributors.
- Strong negotiating skills with experience managing distributor partnerships, export contracts and complex sales cycles.
- Good understanding of export documentation, shipping & logistics, customs and distribution in the Middle East and other regions.
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. Able to engage effectively with senior stakeholders and overseas partners.
- Results-driven, self-motivated, able to work in a flexible and dynamic environment.
- Ability to travel internationally (as required) to meet prospective partners and attend exhibitions.
- Bachelor’s degree (business, marketing, engineering or a relevant field) preferred.
