Senior Accounting and Tax Supervisor

Salary: AED 11,000 + Commission + Medical and Air Ticket      

 

Our client, a UAE based Accountancy Practice firm is looking to recruit a Senior Tax & Accounting Advisor, this role will be client facing, responsible for providing expert guidance to  a variety clients, ensuring compliance with ever-evolving tax law.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Proactively engage with clients to respond to queries, address concerns, and resolve issues efficiently
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, ensuring all data complies with regulatory standards
  • Conduct detailed consultations to understand clients’ individual financial goals and challenges
  • Offer expert advice on tax planning, compliance, and accounting strategies to support optimal financial outcomes
  • Prepare customised financial plans and recommendations based on each client’s specific requirements
  • Keep abreast of the latest tax legislation and regulatory updates
  • Guide clients in meeting their tax and compliance obligations, helping them to avoid penalties and maintain full compliance
  • Effectively manage bookkeeping processes, including accounts payable and receivable
  • Oversee petty cash management and liaise with banks for daily transactions
  • Calculate tax liabilities in strict adherence to applicable tax codes and regulations
  • Prepare a variety of tax returns for individuals and small businesses, ranging from straightforward to complex cases
  • Advise clients on how to make the most of available tax reliefs, credits, and allowances
  • Monitor and manage VAT and Corporate Tax registration thresholds and obligations
  • Analyse financial records such as income statements and expenditure reports
  • Conduct comprehensive interviews to obtain a full understanding of clients’ financial situations
  • Review and validate the accuracy of previously submitted tax returns
  • Ensure records are always reconciled and compliant with relevant standards
  • Provide advice on applicable regulations including VAT, CT, AML, ESR, and UBO reporting requirements
  • Suggest relevant financial products or services aligned with clients’ evolving needs
  • Use electronic filing software to prepare and submit tax returns accurately
  • Ensure clients are provided with copies of their completed returns for their records
  • Maintain and regularly update internal financial trackers and databases
  • Prepare weekly and monthly summary reports for management review
  • Support the professional development of junior team members through active mentoring
  • Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as required by the manager to support departmental goals

 

Requirements:

 

  • Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • ACCA / CA / CPA / CMA qualification is preferred
  • 4–6 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 2 years in the UAE
  • Previous experience in a client-facing role within an accountancy practice
  • Sound understanding of financial operations, tax, and accounting principles
  • Solid grasp of IFRS and relevant tax legislation
  • Proficient in VAT and corporate tax computations
  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken
