Job Description
The Senior Account Manager will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, establishing relationships with key decision-makers in the industry, and ensuring the successful execution of live events from inception to completion. This role requires expertise in audiovisual and scenic fabrication, as well as a strong understanding of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies.
The ideal candidate will have an extensive network in the GCC live events sector and be proficient in business development, client consultation, and project coordination.
Sales & Business Development:
- Source prospective clients and introduce them to the company’s scope of services and expertise through demos, warehouse tours, and promotional materials.
- Identify new business opportunities, attend meetings and networking events to cultivate client relationships.
- Develop and maintain strong business relations with clients on behalf of the company.
- Collaborate with the sales team to qualify, prospect, and onboard new clients.
- Understand client strategy to facilitate high-level discussions and identify opportunities.
- Oversee and maintain a high standard of execution in all projects, ensuring brand values and client satisfaction are met.
- Arrange regular client visits and social events when appropriate.
Account & Project Management:
- Oversee a portfolio of high-profile projects, ensuring seamless execution and client satisfaction.
- Lead contract negotiations, pricing strategies, and proposal development for large-scale projects.
- Work with relevant Project Managers to develop technical and fabrication solutions within budget.
- Ensure budgets and pricing align with company margins and standard operating procedures.
- Meet deadlines for quotes and proposals, whether independently or in collaboration with Project Managers.
- Coordinate with Operations and Project Managers to allocate resources effectively.
- Maintain all client contacts and project details within the company database.
- Present concepts and summarize results during multiple client meetings.
- Oversee the development of proposals in line with company guidelines, supported by design and management teams.
- Develop account strategies, leading projects from conception to execution.
- Monitor key performance metrics, including client satisfaction scores, sales targets, and revenue forecasts, providing regular updates to management.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations outlining account activities, revenue projections, and business opportunities.
- Establish goals and objectives for internal teams to ensure alignment on project deliverables.
- Supervise and mentor staff, providing feedback and motivation to ensure project success.
Experience & Skills Required:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience as an Account Manager, Sales Manager, or Business Development Manager in a UAE-based AV or scenic fabrication industry, primarily serving event agencies, brands, and government entities in the GCC region.
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience in managing and selling technical and fabrication production services for the live event industry.
- Proven track record of acquiring new clients, negotiating contracts, and converting business in the events industry.
- Strong ability to create, build, and maintain a diverse client portfolio.
- Ability to plan and deliver high-standard live events and projects.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, excellent presenter, communicator, and team leader.
