Job Purpose: 

 

The Regional Sales Director - Facility Management is responsible for driving the company's FM sales efforts and achieving business growth. This role involves collaborating with the Chief Sales Officer (CSO) and other key stakeholders to develop and implement effective sales strategies. Key responsibilities include leading the sales team, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and providing business insights to support market expansion and product diversification. The post holder also oversees FM sales operations and reporting, ensuring accurate forecasting and performance tracking to meet the company's growth objectives.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Sales Strategy and Planning:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy tailored to the facility management sector.
    • Actively contribute to the sales leadership team, providing essential support to the Chief Sales Officer (CSO), and assist in designing and implementing the overall sales strategy and plans.
    • Set sales targets, KPIs, and performance metrics to align with the company's growth objectives.
    • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends.
    • Oversee the regional sales budget, ensuring resources are allocated and utilized efficiently.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
    • Lead, mentor, and motivate the FM sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets.
    • Be an active member of the sales leadership team and provide the CSO with necessary support
    • Manage the hiring and performance of the regional sales team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
    • Provide regular training and professional development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
  • Business Development:
    • Conduct in-depth analysis of regional market trends to uncover new opportunities and understand competitive challenges.
    • Negotiate contracts and agreements with prospective clients to secure new business deals.
    • Provide business insights and trends to help the Commercial team develop expansion strategies for new markets and diversify the product portfolio.
  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Ensure exceptional customer service and satisfaction by understanding and addressing client needs.
    • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with existing clients to drive repeat business.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for major clients and resolve any escalated issues promptly.
  • Sales Operations and Reporting:
    • Oversee the sales pipeline and ensure accurate forecasting and reporting of FM sales performance.
    • Utilize CRM systems to manage and track sales activities and client interactions.
    • Provide regular sales reports and insights to the executive team.
  • Collaboration and Coordination:
    • Work closely with the marketing team to develop effective sales campaigns and promotional materials.
    • Collaborate with the operations and service delivery teams to ensure seamless execution of contracts.
    • Uphold company’s standards and policies within the region, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements.
    • Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance the company's visibility and reputation.
  • Authority:
  • Develop and implement regional sales strategies and initiatives.
  • Set and oversee sales targets and performance metrics for the region.
  • Manage the regional sales budget and resources.
  • Negotiate and approve contracts and deals within given limits.
  • Hire, train, and manage the regional sales team.
  • Provide sales forecasts and reports to senior management.
  • Provide industry, competition and sales trends insights to the Commercial team.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal guidelines within the sales operations of the region.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

 

  • Master’s degree/Bachelor’s degree
  • Proven experience as a Head of Sales or similar senior sales leadership role preferably within the facility management sector.
  • Deep understanding of the regional market and industry.
  • Strong understanding of facility management services and industry-specific challenges.
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Proficient in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for the role.
