Job Description
A growing Dubai based legal firm has a newly created role for a Learning & Development Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to establish and develop a great service to internal clients and really establish yourself within the firm.
Key Requirements:
- Developing and implementing a strategic learning and development plan
- Working closely with key stakeholders, including partners and HR, to identify training needs, priorities, and opportunities for skills development
- Designing and delivering engaging and effective training programs, workshops, seminars, and other learning initiatives
- Creating and curating high-quality learning resources, including e-learning modules, training materials, practice guides, and reference materials
- Providing personalised coaching, mentoring, and feedback to lawyers and legal support staff to support their professional growth and development
- Evaluating the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics, and make recommendations for continuous improvement
- Managing the firm's learning management system (LMS) and other learning technologies to facilitate training delivery, tracking, and reporting.
- Collaborating with external vendors, consultants, and subject matter experts
- Serving as a trusted advisor and resource for lawyers and legal support staff seeking guidance on professional development opportunities, career advancement, and continuing education
- Supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives by integrating DEI principles into learning and development programs and promoting a culture of inclusivity and belonging
- Preparing and presenting reports, presentations, and recommendations to firm leadership on learning and development activities, outcomes, and impact
Education & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organisational Development, Education, Business, or a related field.
- MUST possess a minimum of 3 years experience in learning and development, talent management, or a related field, in a legal or professional services environment.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and training delivery techniques.
- MUST possess knowledge of legal practice areas, legal skills, and competencies, with experience working in or supporting a law firm or legal department.
- Bilingual in Arabic and English.
