Job Description

This Finance Manager position sits within the CFO's team and carries responsibility for a sizeable portfolio held on behalf of the Owner.

We're looking for someone who combines a finance and accounting background with genuine comfort around fund structures and investment reporting .

Role

Reporting & Financial Oversight

  • Building and consolidating financial statements for a group of entities, SPVs, and investment structures
  • Keeping reporting practices aligned with IFRS/GAAP and relevant internal standards
  • Producing investor-facing and internal reports at both fund and portfolio level
  • Running the forecasting, budgeting, and variance-analysis cycle across the organisation
  • Signing off on monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements

Portfolio & Investment Accounting

  • Working alongside deal teams through structuring, due diligence, and the deployment of capital
  • Handling the accounting treatment for holdings across private equity, venture capital, listed securities, and real estate
  • Keeping tabs on portfolio performance - returns, valuations, allocation across asset classes
  • Planning cash flow around capital calls, distributions, and new investments

Compliance & Governance

  • Acting as the main point of contact for auditors, regulators, and tax advisors during review cycles
  • Keeping the organisation aligned with applicable financial regulation and industry compliance requirements
  • Building out policies, controls, and risk frameworks that hold up to scrutiny

Treasury

  • Keeping liquidity healthy across the fund and corporate structure
  • Managing FX exposure, hedging, and the timing of cash deployment
  • Looking after banking relationships and shaping an efficient capital structure

Business Partnering

  • Feeding financial analysis into board-level and investment discussions
  • Helping model scenarios for fundraising and capital-allocation decisions
  • Supporting due diligence and valuation work on prospective deals

Requirements

  • A degree in accounting, finance, or a related subject — CFA, ACCA, or CPA is a plus rather than a must
  • Preference for someone who started their career in the Big 4
  • 6+ years in a financial management role, ideally somewhere with real investment exposure  eg family office, PE, asset management, or corporate finance
  • Comfortable working across multi-entity structures, with a track record of managing audit relationships and control frameworks
  • Strong technical grounding in IFRS/GAAP and investment/portfolio accounting
  • Confident with financial modelling and advanced Excel; exposure to ERP or investment management platforms is useful

Attributes

  • Sharp commercial instincts paired with strong analytical thinking
  • Comfortable managing multiple stakeholders with clear, confident communication
  • Meticulous, with a low tolerance for errors
  • Calm under pressure, good at prioritising against deadlines
  • Some leadership or people-management experience
