Job Description
Our client, an industrial-related service provider, is looking for a Finance Manager who will be responsible for financial management and reporting of results for the business. This role will suit a candidate who has previous practice firm experience who has then moved into industry and is ready to step up into team management.
Responsibilities:
- Accountable for the timely production of monthly and annual financial statements for the relevant business unit
- Ensuring that robust financial controls are implemented ensuring consistent three-way matching is maintained and adhering to inventory and accounting procedures
- Responsible for weekly production and reporting of short-term cash flow forecasts
- Supporting the Country Manager with ad hoc Key Performance Indicators or other analysis, to support commercial decision making and to manage the relevant business units
- Lead and co-ordinate the external audit process for the relevant business unit, including ensuring all taxation computation, filing and payment requirements are met
- Be accountable to Senior Management for the underlying financial performance of the relevant business unit
- Manage, mentor and support junior team members, including periodic feedback and appraisal processes
- Act as a business partner to all relevant business unit operational departments, providing guidance and advice in all financial matters
- Ensure payroll is processed and that employees are paid monthly and on time
- Act as the key interface with the Group Finance Function, responding to queries and requests in a timely manner and working with the Finance Director to ensure coordination of Group finance activities
- Manage supplier and customer balances, as part of the liquidity management required for the relevant business units
- Coordinate internal audit and process compliance monitoring activities in the relevant business units
- Support the production of financial models and key underlying assumptions required during budgeting and forecasting processes
- Ensuring the relevant business unit’s balance sheet is always fairly stated
- Accountable for the timely and accurate recording of VAT balances, submission of VAT documentation, and subsequent payment of VAT to the relevant local authorities
Requirements:
- Candidates must be fully qualified and possesses a professional accountancy qualification such as (CA, ACCA, CIMA, AAT or equivalent) with a Bachelor of Commerce/ finance or accounting from a recognised university
- A minimum of five years of work experience in the finance industry and / or audit experience, this role will suit a candidate who has 3 years practice and 2 years of industry experience in the UAE
- Candidates must have a strong technical skills and knowledge of business unit industry sector
- You must have solid communication, analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels
