Job Description
The Legal Counsel will be responsible for drafting and reviewing commercial contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and providing strategic legal support across various business functions. The role requires a strong commercial drafting background and experience in the leisure and tourism sector. The ideal candidate should be a proactive and commercially minded lawyer with strong interpersonal skills, capable of balancing business needs with legal compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review contracts and legal documents, including procurement agreements, service contracts, NDAs, and intellectual property-related agreements.
- Provide guidance on corporate governance, draft resolutions, corporate documents, and board meeting minutes.
- Oversee due diligence processes, corporate governance matters, policy reviews, and insurance-related legal considerations.
- Conduct legal training and workshops for internal teams.
Skills and Requirements:
- LLB or equivalent legal qualification; admission as a lawyer/solicitor in the UAE or another jurisdiction.
- Minimum of three years PQE in an in-house legal role, preferably with experience in the UAE and/or government or semi-government organisations.
- Fluency in English and Arabic.
- Strong commercial drafting and negotiation skills.
- In-depth knowledge of UAE laws, especially commercial and data protection laws.
- Excellent communication, time management, and organisational abilities.
- High level of attention to detail, ethics, and integrity.
