Company Overview

Our client operating within the events and venue management sector is seeking an experienced Organisational Development Consultant to support a time-bound organisational design and implementation engagement. The organisation operates in a complex, fast-paced environment with significant operational delivery and future growth ambitions.

This is a hands-on role, focused on both design and execution, rather than advisory-only work.

Responsibilities:

The consultant will be responsible for reviewing, refining and implementing an organisational structure aligned to business strategy, operational realities and future scalability. The engagement will build from an existing approved organisational structure, ensuring continuity, clarity and operational feasibility.

The role requires direct experience in events or entertainment or venue-based operations, with the ability to operate confidently in high-visibility, senior-stakeholder environments.

Organisational Diagnosis and Baseline Review

• Review and validate the current organisational structure, reporting lines and governance framework
• Assess alignment between business strategy, operating model, workforce structure and operational delivery
• Conduct structured interviews and working sessions with senior leaders and key stakeholders
• Identify gaps, overlaps, inefficiencies, role duplication and unclear accountabilities
• Benchmark organisational structures against regional best practice within entertainment, events, sports and venue-led organisations

Organisation Design and Execution

• Develop a future-state organisational structure built from the existing baseline
• Define clear reporting lines, spans of control, role purpose and accountability frameworks
• Design practical, scalable structures that support agile decision-making in operational environments
• Ensure alignment with event delivery, venue operations and sports organisation models
• Partner closely with Human Capital and Finance teams to validate feasibility, cost implications and implementation readiness

Delivery Management and Implementation

• Own a clear delivery plan with defined milestones, timelines and dependencies
• Actively drive execution, stakeholder alignment and issue resolution
• Provide regular progress updates, risks and mitigation plans to senior leadership
• Support transition planning, change impacts and implementation readiness

Requirements:

• Mid to senior-level experience in organisation design, operating model review or restructuring
• Proven track record of implementing organisational structures, not advisory-only work
• Direct experience within entertainment, large-scale events, sports organisations and/or venue operators
• Ability to work independently, proactively and at pace within defined delivery timelines
• Experience improving clarity, efficiency and governance within existing organisational structures

Strongly Preferred:

• Familiarity with recognised job architecture and grading frameworks (eg Mercer, Alvarez & Marsal or similar)
• Experience assessing organisational and workforce impacts of mergers, integrations or separations
• Ability to evaluate duplication, capability gaps, governance effectiveness and cost implications
• End-to-end change management capability, including impact assessments, stakeholder mapping, communication planning and adoption tracking
