Financial Accountant

AED 25,000 -28,000 + medical  

We are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to oversee the month-end close process, lead external audits and support stakeholders with billing, work-in-progress (WIP) management and financial reporting.   The role will also involve ad hoc project accounting, process improvement and team leadership, with responsibility for supporting financial operations across the UAE and KSA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the end-to-end month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
• Prepare and review journals, accruals, prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations and financial statements
• Lead external audits, acting as the main point of contact for auditors and ensuring timely resolution of queries
• Support partners, fee earners and operational stakeholders with client billing, WIP monitoring, revenue recognition and billing adjustments
• Monitor unbilled WIP and aged balances, working with stakeholders to improve billing efficiency and cash collection
• Lead and coordinate ad hoc project accounting activities, including project cost tracking, financial analysis, budgeting and reporting
• Prepare monthly management reports, analyse financial performance and provide insights to support decision-making
• Provide day-to-day team leadership, overseeing workloads, reviewing outputs and supporting the development of team members
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, local statutory requirements and relevant UAE and KSA tax regulations
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting accuracy and internal controls across both jurisdictions

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline-  ACCA, ACA or CPA qualification preferred, or working towards
• Proven experience in a Financial Accountant or similar role, within a professional services environment
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, with experience managing month-end close and leading external audits
• Experience supporting billing, WIP management and revenue-related processes
• Exposure to project accounting, including project cost analysis and financial reporting
• Previous experience working across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, with an understanding of relevant local compliance requirements
• Demonstrated team leadership experience, with the ability to manage priorities, review work and develop junior colleagues
• Strong Excel skills, attention to detail and excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
