This role is for a leading airline in the region.

In this role you will manage the planning and the optimization of the freighter operations by developing and maintaining network schedules, capacity plans that will help the airline cargo growth and operational efficiency.

Applicants for this role should have a minimum of 8 years experience in airline cargo or freighter planning.  This should include some leadership/managerial experience. Must be fluent in English language.

Responsibilities will include the following and others:

• Developing the short, medium and long-term freighter network plans in line with the business objectives
• Coordinating with flight operations, engineering and ground handling staff to make sure that all rotations and schedules are operationally viable
• Conducting capacity and yield analyses, looking at performance and cost efficiency
• Working with cargo pricing and revenue optimization
• Preparing managerial reports covering performance, cost analysis, route profitability and operational efficiency metrics
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards are met

Warehouse & Logistics Operations Manager – Engineering

We are looking for an experienced Warehouse & Logistics Manager to lead the development and implementation of a brand-new, technology-driven warehouse and fulfillment operation from the ground up.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who has previously been involved in start-up warehouse, and who understands that this role is about much more than simply managing an established warehouse.

The Role

You will be responsible for taking the warehouse operation from concept and design through to implementation and operational launch.

Working closely with senior stakeholders, technology providers and automation specialists, you will provide the operational expertise required to design a warehouse that is efficient, scalable, automated and fit for future growth.

You will be expected to act as both a Warehouse Manager and an internal consultant, challenging suppliers, assessing technology solutions and making informed recommendations to the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop the warehouse and logistics operation from scratch.
• Develop warehouse layouts, processes, workflows and operational procedures.
• Evaluate the latest Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) available in the market.
• Assess different WMS solutions, clearly presenting the advantages, disadvantages, costs, risks and scalability of each option.
• Lead the selection, implementation and configuration of the chosen WMS.
• Work with technology and automation providers to ensure the WMS is properly integrated with warehouse automation, material handling and fulfilment systems.
• Determine where the WMS should be customised to meet the specific requirements of the operation.
• Develop inventory, receiving, put-away, picking, packing, dispatch and returns processes.
• Ensure the warehouse design supports future growth and increased volumes.
• Challenge suppliers and technology partners where necessary and ensure solutions are commercially and operationally viable.
• Develop KPIs, SLAs, reporting and performance management processes.
• Support recruitment, team structure and training as the operation moves towards launch.
• Take ownership of the go-live and transition into business-as-usual operations.
